3 nurse practitioners join hospital
HAMILTON, N.Y. >> Community Memorial is welcoming three new nurse practitioners in August, as the need for primary care is ever strong.
Shannon Tilbe received her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and has 20 years of clinical nursing experience in many settings, including Emergency and Cardiac. She has also worked in palliative and hospice care settings and her clinical interests are to maintain or improve quality of life for all patients in every age group. She enjoys camping with her family and cheering on local sports teams. Tilbe will be in the Hamilton Family Health Center.
Cheryl Palmer also received her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner from SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and has over 10 years of clinical experience, ranging from emergency department settings to wound care, and has taken part in infection prevention teams. Palmer lives in Waterville and in her personal time participates in the ‘Volunteers-In-Parks’ Program with the National Park Service. Palmer will be working out of the Waterville Family Health Center.
Amy Dennis completed her Post Master’s Nurse Practitioner Certificate in Adult- Geriatrics at Binghamton University’s Decker School of Nursing, after completing her Master of Science in Nursing at Walden University. Dennis has worked at Community Memorial for over 20 years as a nurse, the majority in the ICU and then in Infection Control. Her clinical interests include successful management of multiple diagnoses in the Older Adult and management of preventative interventions. Dennis will be seeing patients in the Hamilton Family Health Center.
