VERNON-VERONA-SHERRILL 4, WEST CANADA VALLEY 0 >> Four different players got in on the scoring action as VVS pitched a shutout on defense to capture its second West Canada Valley tournament title in as many years. Fresh off a hat trick in the opening round of the tourney, Anna Rossi posted a goal and one assist in the championship victory. Sierra Kinne and Laiken Kiser both added one goal and one assist, while Donata Oxford rounded out the scoring attack with a goal.

CAMDEN2, WEST CANADA VALLEY 1 >> After falling to Old Forge in the opening round of the West Canada Valley Tournament, Camden bounced back with win and a third place finish over the tournament hosts. Danney Bernabe and Ethan Gerow both scored for the Blue Devils, and teammate Josh Leos came up
with seven saves in the win.

Anna Rossi paced the Red Devils with a hat trick, and eighth grader Anna Peterson added twomore scores. Karli Doig added a solo goal for VVS in the win. CANASTOTA 2, ALTMARPARISH- WILLIAMSTOWN 0 >> Gracie Morris and Audrey Moody each put away a goal to lead Canastota to its third straight victory on Saturday. Goalkeeper Laura McKillip made 10 saves for the Raiders in the shutout. MARION8, CAZENOVIA1>> Cazenovia briefly enjoyed a 1-0 lead over Marion during a Saturday meeting on the pitch when Annie Baldwin fed Lili Gavitt for a score three minutes into the contest. The rest of the match belonged to Marion. Ohio State bound attacker Chloe Delyser found the back of the net six times to lead her team to victory. Tessa Hansknecht posted 17 saves for the Lakers in the defeat.

OLDFORGE1, CAMDEN0>> Old Forge used a Nolan Fenton goal to take down Camden in a 1-0 shutout. Josh Leos posted nine saves for the Blue Devils while minding net. HAMILTON 3, EDMESTON 0>> Hamilton peppered Edmeston with 29 shots, converting on three of those opportunities for a 3-0 shutout victory. Theo McArn, Peter Klingaman, and Sami Cigeroglu all posted scores for the Emerald Knights in the win, while goalkeeper Ben Coddington came up with seven saves to preserve the shutout. OSWEGO2, ONEIDA1>> Oneida suffered its third one-goal loss on the early season with a 2-1 defeat to Oswego at home. Zack Friend scored on a RileyWallis assist to get the hosts on the board, but Ryan Bakos and Clay Kennedy each tallied for Oswego to help the visitors prevail. Jacob Vaccaro came upwith eight saves for Oneida in the effort.

CAZENOVIA 3, CANASTOTA 1>> Carley Lounsbury scored once and assisted on another goal to help fuel a 3-1 Cazenovia win over visiting Canastota. Jessica Evans tallied for the Raiders’ lone score.
Friday Results Football
CANASTOTA 56, GENERAL BROWN 20 >> Quarterback Andrew Marshall rushed for two scores and threw for twomore to spark a doubledigit Canastota win over General Brown in Week 1 on Friday. Teammate Greg Olden added four touchdowns for the Raiders, each coming in a different fashion. The Canastota senior rushed for a score, hauled in an Andrew Marshall pass for another, took a kickoff to the house, and cashed in on a fumble-six for Raiders in the convincing win.

MCGRAW 2, STOCKBRIDGE 0>> McGraw shut out Stockbridge 2- 0 behind goals from Cason Stafford and Scott Schuyler in a Central Counties League contest. McGraw goalie Kooper Vosburg came up with four saves in the shutout. Stockbridge keeper Wyatt Reed came up with 13 saves for the Cougars in the defeat.
