ONEIDA, N.Y. >> The Arc of Madison Cortland and Building Futures Foundation are hosting the third annual event, A Night of Bourbon and Bidding at Vernon Downs Hotel Ballroom from 6 to 10 p.m. on on Nov. 9.

This event will help support unfunded programs such as (but not limited to): guardianship programs, community-based programs, the Wind Dancers and Mighty Fortress Dance Troupes and The Sunshine Choir.

A Night of Bourbon and Bidding will raise funds with a live and silent auction that will feature more than 120 items including vacation packages in Sedona Arizona and Orlando Florida, NCAA ticket packages, Celine Dion tickets and more.

The cost of the event is $75 per person and includes an open bar, bourbon tasting by Old Home Distillers, and hors d’oeuvres and food stations.

Messier’s Auction Services will present the live auction items and Classified, Central New York’s premier horn band, will perform throughout the evening. Event details and online ticket sales can be found at www.arcofmc.org or by calling 315-363-3389 ext. 3025.

Silent auction items will go live online on Oct. 25.

Brian Hurley, a member of the Building Futures Foundation Board, looks forward to starting his holiday shopping at A Night of Bourbon and Bidding and is hopeful that the event will raise money and awareness.

“You can get your Christmas shopping wrapped up, have a blast, and make a dramatic impact on the folks who are facing constant budget cuts. It’s important, it’s needed and it’s the best time you will have while making a difference,” Hurley said.
