Thanksgiving service at St. Patrick’s Church

ONEIDA, N.Y. >> The Oneida Area Christian Churches Council will hold the annual community-wide ecumenical Thanksgiving Service at St. Patrick’s Church, 347 Main Street in Oneida, on Sunday, Nov. 24, at 4 p.m. Representatives from area churches will conduct the service, which is open to all area residents. Members of the Oneida Area Civic Chorale, under the direction of Kimberly Nethaway, of Rome, will provide special music for the service, including “Simple Praise”, by Craig Courtney and Pamela Martin, “A Celtic Song of Thanksgiving”, words by Diane Hannibal, arranged by Douglas Nolan, and “The Lord Bless You and Keep You”, by Peter Lutkin. A free-will offering will be taken at the service, and those attending are asked to bring donations of boxed and canned goods for the area food pantry. Please note the 4:00 PM time of the service, a change from the many years this service has been offered.
