Oneida — Bishop Lucia from the Diocese of Syracuse will come to Holy Cross Academy to bless a new side chapel and celebrate Mass on Friday, Dec. 6

Christmas gift wrapping event

Oneida — New Hope Christian Church will host a gift wrapping event on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Bring in your gifts and we’ll do the rest! There will be wrapping paper, ribbons, bows and gift tags! Organizers request that you stick around and have some hot cocoa and snacks while we wrap your gifts. Church Bazaar

Verona — The Holiday Bazaar kicks off Saturday, Dec. 7 and runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Verona Presbyteri­an Church, corner of Main St. and Rock Rd. featuring a variety of local crafters. There will be new and gently used holiday decoration­s and gifts. Once again, the church will be having their annual Cookie Walk. Lunch will be available offering homemade soups and chili. Free admission.

Consignmen­t Shop accepting items

Oneida — The Second Hand Rose Consignmen­t Shop of Oneida First Presbyteri­an Church will be accepting new and nearly new Fall and Winter women’s and children’s items along with small household items. The shop is located on Broad and Stone Streets with parking in the rear. Shop hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., taking consignmen­ts each day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Holy Land trip

Utica — The Good News Center will host a pilgrimage to the Holy Land Nov. 30 through Dec. 10, led by Mark Kaminski, as well as a local guidewho lives in Israel. Lakeside Farmers Market

Bridgeport — The Lakeside Farmers Market, a collaborat­ion of Bridgeport United Methodist Church and the community, is every Thursday from3-7 p.m., rain or shine. Fresh produce, honey, eggs, and more is available, as well as baked goods or a cooked chicken for supper. The market is located at 377 Route 31 in Bridgeport.

Church pantry moved

Morrisvill­e — The Morrisvill­e Community Church Food Pantry has moved from the Cornell Cooperativ­e Building, 100 Eaton St., Morrisvill­e, to the lower level of theMorrisv­ille Community Church, located at 3824 Swamp Road, Morrisvill­e. New hours of operation are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon, and the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. Food is available outside of normal hours during emergencie­s. Friendship Inn open each Thursday

MORRISVILL­E — Friendship Inn at St. Joan of Arc Church offers a free weekly meal to the Morrisvill­e community every Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. Non-denominati­onal and open to all, regardless of financial need, Friendship Inn draws on a small army of volunteers who fulfill numerous tasks, from set-up, cooking, serving, to clean-up. Volunteers are always needed. Donations are welcome as well to supplement food offerings and to purchase equipment and supplies. Clothing donations accepted

ONEIDA — St. John’s Episcopal Church, 341 Main St., has been chosen by St. Pauly Textile, Inc. as a repository for used clothing. St. Pauly’s mission is to provide wearable clothing to people who need it, both in the United States and Third World countries. Items that can be collected include clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, linens, blankets, curtains and stuffed toys. No rags or fabric scraps, pillows, toys or household goods are accepted. Donations are not cut up or shredded. Items should be placed in plastic bags (no larger than 13 gal. size) and placed in the chute of the shed located on St. John’s driveway. Donations are acceptable any time of the day or night. This mission has provided more than 30 million garments to people all over the world who are in need.
