CHITTENANG­O55, SYRACUSE ACADEMY OF SCIENCE 48 >> A five-point second quarter left Chittenang­o trailing Syracuse Academy of Science by eight points at the break, but Kassie Kleine’s Bears outscored their hosts 35-20 in the second half to post their fourth straight win. Emily Moon paced Chittenang­o with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Ally Shoemaker added 12 points, 6 assists, and 5 steals for Chittenang­o, and teammates Avree Salce (11) and Mia McReynolds (10) also posted double-figure scoring totals for the Bears.

ONEIDA3, ROME FREEACADEM­Y0>> Outside of a narrow defeat to New Hartford in the second game of the season, Oneida has been a force during the early portion of the season. Monday, Cynthia Bobo’s team defeated TriValley League foe RFA in three straight games: 2513; 26-24, 25-12. Senior Jamie Jones buried 15 kills for Oneida in the victory. Fellow senior Abby Phillips was stout on the defensive side for Oneida in the road win, leading the way with a team-high 15 digs.

Beth Belanger knocked down four 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 21 points, adding 11 rebounds on the evening. Ashley La Ruffa followed right behind with 19 points and 17 rebounds for Gary Weeks’ Hamilton side, and Kyleigh Pearson joined her teammates with a 13-point, 12-rebound double-double. Hamilton improved to 4-0 on the season.
