The exhibit, called Visions 20/20, contains recent artwork by 20 local painters, many of which reflect the artists’ experiences of the past year and its traumatic impact on society, according to library officials.
The artwork covers a range of styles, from naturalism to abstraction, as well as a range of media, from watercolors to acrylics on Plexiglas. The show was curated by Pamela Vogan Lynch, who is a retired Oneida High School art teacher and a wellknown artist in Central New York.
The artists represented in the show include Lisa Billington, Kristie Boisen, Heather Cigeroglu, Jack Cotten, Eileen Cunningham,
Laura Diddle, Ruth B. Donovan, Linda Evans, Karen Harris, Drayton Jones, Kara Kiehn, Jana Laxa, Judith Haynes Levins, Pamela Lynch, Geraldine Meday, Ann Pangburn, John Seely, Maria Seely, Kathy Smith, and Debra Sturdevant.
Visions 20/20 can be viewed in the OPL Art Gallery through February during the library’s temporary in-house operating hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Many of the paintings are for sale by the artists, with price listings included in the show’s catalog.
