Short of goal

- Denise W. Laube Executive Director

The United Way of Greater Oneida is still $19,000.00 short of our goal for the Fall of 2020. This year has presented challenges to all of us – and the United Way is no exception.

Due to the pandemic, I have not been able to have the usual access to employees at many businesses in the area – where I am able to meet with them face to face and explain how our 14 funded partners provide crucial services in Madison County. Consequently, many of the employee campaigns are short of what they generally raise. If we fail to reach our goal of $124,800.00 – all 14 agencies will receive less than what we planned to give them for calendar 2021.

If you work locally, you most likely have the option to give a small amount of your paycheck every pay period and that will get remitted to the United Way – please check with your HR Department. As little as $1.00 per pay period can be very helpful if large numbers of employees sign up to do this.

We are still working to achieve our goal and need the support of the community at large. If you are able to give, any amount would be helpful. Please give some consideration to a tax deductible donation to the United Way of Madison County, PO Box 648, Oneida, NY 13421.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call me at 315-363-5779. I would be more than happy to answer them. You can also check out our website at www.unitedwayofgreateroneida. org. On the website, you also have the ability to give using PAYPAL. Thank you for considering a donation – our community is counting on you!

Sincerely,
