CAROLINA C. STOCKBRIDGE
VERNON- Carolina C. Stockbridge, 96, of Youngs Road, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, in Oneida Health, where she had been a patient for the past week. Born in Whitesboro on November 7, 1924, she was the daughter of Carl and Lucy Severino Santa Maria. A resident of Vernon since 1952, Carolina was educated in Whitesboro schools. She married Edward J. Stockbridge in St. Mary’s of Mount Carmel Church on September 4, 1943. Mr. Stockbridge died on January 21, 1996. Prior to her retirement, Carolina was employed by Oneida Limited, Silversmiths in the brocade department. She loved gardening, enjoyed occasional trips to the casino and loved going to estate and garage sales. She is survived by two daughters, Jane Petreikis and Patricia (Timothy) Bertella, all of Oneida; ve grandchildren, Laura Allen Talisman, Herbert Lagoy, Jr., Randy Lagoy, Dan Lagoy, Lee Lagoy and Sarah Finnerty; eight great-grandchildren; one greatgreat grandchild; one sister, Theresa Sullivan of Hawaii and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Michael E. Stockbridge on February 18, 2007 and eight siblings. Funeral services will be held \Monday, at the convenience of the family, from Campbell-dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with Deacon James Chappell, officiating. Interment will be made in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Clinton. There will be no public hours of visitation. Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Wanderer’s Rest Humane Association.
