Patriot League Announces Revised Football Schedule
HAMILTON» Colgate’s reshuffled spring football schedule has the Raiders beginning a crucial two-game series against its Patriot League North Division opponents.
The first leg has Colgate visiting Fordham this Saturday in a 4 p.m. kickoff. Then next Saturday, Colgate hosts Holy Cross at 5 p.m. Both games can be seen on via ESPN+.
Fordham lost at Holy Cross last Saturday. These three weeks will decide the representative in this year’s Patriot League Championship Game, set for April 17 on CBS Sports Network (2 p.m.).
Colgate has been idle the last two weekends because of a positive Covid-19 test within the football program’s Tier 1. It is the only time during this abbreviated winter and spring season that a Colgate team in any sport was forced to postpone or cancel a game because of a positive test.
League play continues to be contingent on the League and its member institutions being able to conduct competition in ways that protect the health and safety of student-athletes, coaches, staff and their communities.
If the schedule plays out over the next two weekends, all six teams will have played a balanced schedule of both opponents inside their division and one opponent in the other division.
The remaining Patriot League football schedule is as follows:
April 3
Bucknell at Lehigh, 12 COLGATE at Fordham,
4 April 10
Holy Cross at COLGATE, 5 Lehigh at Lafayette, TBA Fordham at Bucknell, TBA
