Wampsville, N.Y. — Madison County’s Mental Health Task Force has put together a Mental Well-being survey to help assess the mental health issues within the community. By participating in the survey, residents will help the task force create short-term, mid-range, and long-term goals to assist with the development of needed programs and services.

“Let us know how you are feeling these days,” said Madison County Mental Health Director Teisha Cook. “Over the past year and a half, our community has experienced so much, and not all of it is related to the pandemic.” She says officials want to know how their community is doing and to figure out what issues exist. They also want to know how their services can improve.

The survey is only 10 questions and takes a few minutes to fill out. The survey is for Madison County

residents only and can be accessed online. There is a separate survey designated for seniors above or below the age of 65.

Paper copies of the survey are available at local libraries or town halls. Survey responses will be collected until August 20, 2021.

Individuals who complete the survey can also enter to win a $100 gift card to either Price Chopper or Tops.

Officials say the goal of this task force is to create a road map of services needed to address mental health and well-being in the community. The task force recognizes that recovery from the pandemic is a process; the hope is that the needs assessment is the first step in the journey to healing.

If you or someone you know needs someone to talk to, please contact the 24/7 Madison County Mental Health Crisis Line at (315) 366-2327.
