20th Anniversary 9/11 Day of Service Kick Off Event Food Drive: The Parkway Center is collecting nonperishable food and/ or personal care items starting August 23 at two locations — the Parkway Center in Utica at 220 Memorial Parkway, and in Verona Beach at Parkway at the Beach at 6734 NYS Route 13. Community members are invited to drop off items at either location Monday-friday from 8:30 a.m- 4 p.m. beginning on August 23 through September 9. All donations will benefit area veterans. City of Sherrill Notice of Public Hearing: At the August 2, 2021 City Commission meeting a proposed Local Law #1 of 2021 was presented and considered by the City Commission which would have the city “opt-out” of the licensing and establishing of retail cannabis dispensaries and/or on-site cannabis consumption establishments within the City of Sherrill. On Monday, Aug. 23, a public hearing on the proposed local law will be held by the City Commission of the City of Sherrill at 7:15 p.m. at the Municipal Office Building, 377 Sherrill Road, Sherrill, New York. Oneida Library Board of Trustees Meeting: The Board of Trustees of the Oneida Public Library will hold its monthly meeting at 9:00 a.m. Monday in the Community Room of the library at 459 Main Street, Oneida. The public is invited to attend.

SVCS Special Board of Education Meeting: The Stockbridge Valley Central School Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 6:30p.m. in room S201. The purpose of the meeting will be to finalize the reopening plan.
