RONALD J. WRIGHT, SR.

Ronald J. Wright, Sr., 77, of Hamilton NY and Malabar, FL, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Faxton-st. Luke’s Healthcare, New Hartford, NY, with his family by his side. He was born on March 4, 1944 in Cornwall, NY, a son of Lawrence and Carolyn Phillips Wright and received his education in local schools. On November 4, 1962, Ronald married Patricia Anne Jones in Central Valley, NY, and they shared a loving union of over 58 years. Ron was the owner of Ron Wright, Inc. in Hamilton, a commercial construction company operating all over the East coast, until retiring in 2005. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed playing golf and loved traveling the country with Patricia in their motorhome. He was a loving family man who was a devoted husband, dad and grandfather. Ron was a member of the Lebanon Federated Church where he served on the Board of Trustees. He was a Mason and a member of the Moose Lodge in Florida. He was also a former member of the Town of Lebanon Planning Board. Surviving are his beloved wife, Patricia; his children, Kimberly and Mark Taranto of Hamilton; Deborah Rexine of Syracuse; Ronald J., Jr. and Chani Wright of Hamilton; his grandchildren, Amanda, Joseph, Nicholas, Alexandra, Jacob and Bryce; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Judith Wright and two brothers, Gerald and Gregory Wright. Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 25 Broad St., Hamilton, NY on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm. A Memorial Service and interment will be private.
