CAROL M. COY

VERONA- Carol M. Coy, 86, Spring Road, died early Tuesday morning, August 31, 2021, in the Abraham House of Rome, where she had been admitted the previous day. Born in Malone, on December 23, 1934, she was the daughter of John and Antoinette Rivette Monette. A resident of this area since an early age, Carol was educated in Rome schools. She married Franklin D. Coy in Lee Center on April 9, 1953. Prior to her retirement, Carol was employed with the Oneida Healthcare Center, as a member of the nursing staff. She was a member of the Verona VFW Post 6811 Auxiliary and enjoyed cooking, taking trips and her family and the family gatherings. Surviving are her daughter, Cynthia A. Smith of Manlius; her son and daughter-in-law, John R. and Carol Coy of Oneida; five grandchildren, Heather (Tim) Waterman, Robert (Amy) Pietras, Stacy (Carl) Reynolds, John (Nicole) Coy and Jessica Millson; one brother, Gary Monette of Camden; nine greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by eleven siblings. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the family plot in Oneida Castle Cemetery, with Trish Johnson, officiating.
