CLINTON E. HUBBARD, SR.

-

ONEIDA-CLINTON E. Hubbard Sr., 79, of Bennett Street, passed in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, with his family by his side, on Monday, September 6, 2021. Born in Oneida on September 15, 1941, he was the son of Arthur and Gladys Wagner Hubbard. Clint was a graduate of Oneida High School. On May 24, 1986, in Oneida, he married Linda Kratz. Clint worked at Oneida Limited for a time but was well-known as the area’s go-to alignment guy. He worked his car magic at Whips, Woods Service, and Silver City Tire, before starting his own business- “Hubb’s Auto” in Oneida, which he owned and operated for twenty-five years.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer. He loved the outdoors and being in the woods. Clint always had a deck of cards and some change ready to play, whether with a bunch of buddies, family, and grandchildren, even while waiting for bingo to start. No event was completed without a rowdy game of cards.

He spent the last 43 years with his loving wife, Linda, who will miss him dearly. Surviving besides his wife, Linda, are sons, Clinton (Marilyn) Hubbard and Joseph; daughter, Margaret (Barry) Raymond and their children, Joseph, and Katherine; son, Joseph (Dawn) Hubbard and their children, Chrystal, Trisha, Tara, Danielle, Nicole, Skyler, and Colin; daughter, Paula Pollock; daughter, Wendy (Dale) Hubbard-colona and children, Stephen, Destiny, and Dante; son, Joseph O’herien and daughter, Ashley; daughter, Christine (Tony) Reesh and children, Timothy, Anthony, and Michael; daughter, Colleen (Robert) Seitz and son, Tyler. He also leaves 25 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley (George) Thurston. He was predeceased by a grandson, Dennis James Fields III; a daughter-in-law, Maureen O’herien; his parents, Arthur and Gladys Hubbard; his siblings, Phil, Art, Josephine, Ruth, Gloria, Beverly, Carol, and June.
