For over a century, three generations of the Luchsinger family have been showing and caring for cows. The Luchsingers of Silver Spring Farm in Syracuse, N.Y., won their first New York State Fair dairy cattle ribbon in 1921 and their first Premier Breeder banner in 1938, winning close to 70 since then. The Luchsinger legacy began in 1914 when John Luchsinger purchased the family farm and began building a reputation for raising and breeding quality cattle. Today, the tradition is carried on by John’s grandson Chuck, his wife Sue and their children Charlie and Ali who operate the 300+ acre farm which is home to 100 cows.
