ONEIDA- Larry T. Gormley, born March 9, 1944 in Oneida, NY, son of Margaret Curtis and Earl Gormley, passed away September 13, 2021. Larry graduated from Oneida High School in 1962. He joined the United States Air Force in that same year, served his country for over 26 years. He traveled many places including Germany, Thailand, Korea, Alaska, Berlin, Turkey, Morocco, California, Florida and Texas. After retiring from the Air Force, Larry worked for the Ft. Worth Library before returning to New York.

He enjoyed the Cowboys and the minions, traveling, casinos, his kindle re and television

He is survived by his wife, Pauline (Walker) Gormley of Oneida; son, Jerry (Anita) Gormley of Arlington, TX, and daughter, Patti Nobles of Ft. Worth, TX. He is the step-father to George Thayer of Rome, Michael Thayer (Taylor Cook) of Canastota and Christine (Geoff) Becker of Oneida. He is the grandfathe­r to Elliott Nobles, Eleanor Nobles, Emma Carrillo, Susannah Gormley, Cameron Thayer, Olivia Becker, Anna Beth Becker Richard Becker; his sister, Pat (Jim) Gray of Charleston, SC; step sisters, Mary Altrock of Summervill­e, SC, Claudia Lehning of Prague, OK, Rose Burbidge of Rome, Kathleen Phillips of York Haven, PA and Barbara Walker of Camden; step-brothers, Pete Altrock of Forestport, Bud Altrock of Boonville and Bill (Marleen) Walker of Blossvale. He was predecease­d by his mother and father and step sister, Eva Altrock. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, September 17, 2021 from the Campbell-dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida. Interment will be made in Glenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 AM to 1 PM Friday, prior to the funeral service.
