The drive-in movies begin at 8:00 p.m. $10.00 per carload. Both movies will be running Friday and Saturday, Sept. 17 and 18.

Used book sale: The Friends of the Sherrill Kenwood Library are hosting their annual Used Book Sale, held at the CAC building located at 139 East Hamilton Avenue, Sherril on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 18, 9 a.m. — 12 p.m. A bag sale will be held Saturday during the last hour. Donations will be accepted at the CAC only on Thursday, September 16 from 3-8 p.m. and Friday, September 17 from 9 a.m. — 12 p.m. Donations will not be accepted at the library. National POW/MIA Day Ceremony: Military veterans who were Prisoners of War (POW), and those Missing-in-action (MIA) of all of America’s Wars will be honored during a wreath-laying ceremony in front of Utica’s POW/MIA Military Monument located on Utica’s Memorial Parkway at 1 p.m. The Honor Ceremony is hosted by the members of the Parkway Center’s 50th Anniversar­y of the Vietnam War Commemorat­ion Committee, the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 944 Utica, and the CNY Chapter 490 Military Order of the Purple Heart.
