Ruth E. Mickle, 86, of Candy Lane, Eaton, NY, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at the Oneida Healthcare Center.

She was born on August 1, 1935 in Oneida, a daughter of Herbert and Jessie Hemmingway Smith. She graduated from Morrisvill­e High School at the age of 16 and then graduated from the Faith Bible Institute. Ruth married Milton L. Riggall who

predecease­d her on March 31, 1987. On June 12, 1993, Ruth married Warren J. Mickle in Georgetown. For a brief time, she worked in food service at the Georgetown elementary school and then in housekeepi­ng at the Crouse Community Center in Morrisvill­e. Ruth loved to cook and bake and was affectiona­tely known as the “Pie Lady” at her church. Her delicious banana bread was always a family favorite.

Surviving are her husband, Warren; her children, Rick and Hasuck Riggall of Spanaway, WA; Milton, Jr. and Sharon Riggall of Earlville; Bruce Riggall and Mari Snyder of Hamilton; Julie Ann and George Marecki of E. Lansing, MI; step-children, Gary and Paula Mickle of Camden; Samantha Mickle of Rome; Hubert Mickle of Parish; Susanne Clark of Camden; Warren Mickle, Jr. of Camden;

Joseph Mickle of Rome; Karen Mickle of Herkimer and Christine Mickle of Herkimer; a sister, Evelyn Tibbits of Liverpool; many grandchild­ren, greatgrand­children and great-great-grandchild­ren, nieces, nephew and cousins. She was predecease­d by her step-children, Harold, Sharon and James Mickle; a brother, Albert Smith; brother-in-law, William Tibbits and a nephew, Ronald Tibbits. Friends are invited to call at the Amazing Grace Baptist Church, 4773 Route 12B, Oriskany Falls, NY on Monday, September 27, from 10:30am to 12:30 pm, followed immediatel­y by the funeral service at 12:30pm and interment in the Hillside Cemetery, Georgetown.
