Village Board meeting: The October meeting of the Oneida Castle Village Board has been postponed until October 5, 2021. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. following a public hearing on the Marijuana Law at 6:30p.m. The public is invited to attend. ADK Mt. Club meeting: The Iroquois Chapter of the Adirondack Mt Club will have their next meeting in person at 7p.m. at the First Baptist Church of New Hartford (7Oxford Rd). The program speaker will be Mark Perrin who will highlight many landmarks of Colorado which he recently visited. All are welcome to attend.

Garden Club: The Sherrill Garden Club will hold its next meeting at 6 p.m. in the conference room of the Sherrill-kenwood Library, 543Sherril­l Road, Sherrill, NY. The business meeting will review the Mums/bake Sale that took place on September 11 and plan future meetings. The program for the evening is looking back to the activities the Sherrill Garden Club has pursued during the past ten years through photos taken by members. Refreshmen­ts will be served. The meeting is open to the public and new members are very welcome. Wednesday, October 6 Classics with Chelle: Join Morrisvill­e Public Library Manager Michelle Rounds on Wednesday evenings at 7:00p.m through October 13as she reads on Facebook Live, “James and the Giant Peach” by Roald Dahl. Fun for kids and adults. It will be live on Facebook until October 31, 2021, when it will be removed.

Canal History talk: At 6:30 p.m. the Canastota Public Library will host a special Canalside Talk entitled “Canal Water-whiskey & Temperance.” At about the time the Erie Canal was complete, the Temperance Movement swept across New York State, especially in what was called the Burned-over District, which included Madison County.
