Madison County reminds residents of quickly approaching voter registration deadline
Wampsville, N.Y. — If you wish to vote in the General Election to be held on Nov. 2, your deadline to register is quickly approaching.
If you are not registered, the last day to postmark your application or submit your application in person to the Madison County Board of Elections (BOE) office is Oct. 8. Registration forms are available from the Madison County BOE by calling (315) 366-2231 or by downloading at www.madisoncounty.ny.gov/ boe. Forms are also available at post offices and town, city, and village clerks’ offices.
If you have moved since you last registered to vote, you must submit your change of address by Oct. 13. A change of address can be done by mailing in a new registration form, updating information at www.dmv.ny.gov, or visiting the Board of Elections office in Wampsville.
There are several ways you can vote this year: in-person on Nov. 2, early voting at Sullivan Veterans Memorial Parks and Rec Bldg from Oct. 23-31, or by absentee.
If you wish to vote by absentee, the absentee application forms are available from the Madison County Board of Elections by calling (315) 366-2231 and can also be downloaded from the BOE’S website. October 18 is the last day the board of elections can receive an application or letter of application by mail or email for an absentee ballot.
