Need a job in CNY? Attend a Virtual Job Fair today
Utica, N.Y. — The Workforce Development Board, Herkimer, Madison, Oneida Counties, Inc., (WDB/HMO) will host a free Virtual Career Fair on Thursday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is a great opportunity for job seekers and local businesses to connect one-on-one to discuss job opportunities and workers’ qualifications.
So far, working positions in healthcare, education, financial, retail, travel and tourism, IT, manufacturing, and more are being promoted through the fair, with more businesses expected to register.
The WDB/HMO utilizes the Premier Virtual Job Fair platform, a U.s.-based, Veteran-owned job fair platform that provides an easy-to-use job fair simulation, enabling real-time interaction between recruiters and candidates. Video-chat connection is also available, which may be utilized for instant interviews.
Exhibitors are provided a customizable exhibitor booth equipped with high-resolution avatars and special buttons to share video content, web links, job vacancies, and company overviews.
The recently rolled out 2.0 plat
form allows for detailed notetaking, post-event reporting, and more.
During the event, job seekers are able to view each company’s job openings and company profiles, submit their resumes to jobs they are interested in, and chat one-on-one with recruiters.
This event also offers a 24hour pre-event “preview access” so that job seekers can log into the system before the job fair to view company profiles and job openings.
To help businesses and job seekers navigate the job fair, there are training materials and an FAQ included in the Premier Virtual system that can be accessed upon registration.
Businesses can register for the fair by clicking here. Job Seekers can register by clicking here.
