The Oneida Daily Dispatch (Oneida, NY)
An Open Letter to The Residents of Ward 3, Oneida:
It is my privilege to represent Ward 3 on the City of Oneida Common Council and I would appreciate your continued support & vote on Election Day, November 2nd. During my two terms I have worked on the Ward’s behalf but there is still much more to be done.
There have been several citywide achievements over the past few years, but the most satisfying are those in which I help residents of Ward 3.
Here are just a few comments “…Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jim. I
should have called you years ago” , a Ward 3 resident asking for removal of a diseased tree on city street.
““I appreciate you looking into this and giving an update so quick.” — resident regarding street paving progress.
“Thank you for looking into this matter for us.” — resident concerned about abandoned houses
Some future priorities I will continue to pursue: bringing back a family focus to Oneida,
Re-imagining the Flats with community-friendly options such as community gardens, a dog park, and recreational field(s), Remake downtown with family-friendly businesses and artisan storefronts. I continue to support local businesses and worthy economic developments which complement our City.
I continue to promote quality of life projects like the Rail Trail and the Oneida Public Library. In the long term, I will also work to open a New York State Thruway interchange in north Oneida.
However, none of this happens by accident or by just one person. Whatever your political stripe, please vote on November 2nd.
Thank you!
Sincerely yours, — Jim Coulthart Ward 3 Councilor, Oneida 315-363-4158 jcoulthart@oneidacity.com
