Jaguar F-pace is a beauty

Give credit where credit is due.

In the huge market of SUVS these days, there is a vehicle for every consumer. But when it comes to discounted upscale luxury, we always look to Jaguar for its happenings and latest creations. In Grasso’s Garage this week, the Jaguar Fpace R Dynamic-s.

Similar to other SUVS in the market today, Jaguar always seems to have a dog in the fight as its upscale luxury models offer a real bang for the buck.

At 395 horsepower and 406 lb.-ft. of torque, we recognize a turbo and supercharged inline six-cylinder engine, that has a lot of go! In Dynamic mode, it has a lot of pickup and stands on its feet well, while other drive modes are comfortable and smooth. The Siena Tan Windsor interior is similar to other Jaguar models in the fleet, with its correctly positioned infotainment system, center console, short shifter knob and rolling volume controls. The sportlike seats were a little on the tighter-fitting side, but overall were a pleasure to ride in. I really like how high you sit in the

F-pace compared to other vehicles in this class such as BMW’S X3 and Volvo’s XC60. It is nice and certainly offers nice views from all angles.

The exterior of the Fpace is very nicely designed and with black accents, is a charmer. Its Bluefire Blue is a really nice color that stands out well and while riding on 21-inch, 10-spoke satin dark grey wheels, we really recognize the overall design and appeal that Jaguar has offered for many years and still does.

Our tester offered some nice additional options as well such as, Hot Climate Package, Premium Upgrade Interior Package including performance seats that are heated and cooled. Total options for our F-pace tester came to just over $15K, but the options seemed to really create a sense of uniqueness to the already-stylish SUV.

The F-pace reminds me of Land Rover’s Velar; while different overall, it has similar sight lines and exterior curvatures. Being from the same family of manufacturers, we realize that Jaguar manufactures a beautiful ride for the price, while providing some exclusivity and uniqueness in the market today.
