V.V.S falls to New Hartford 21-10 as season begins to close

It has been an interestin­g football season up to this point. After such an odd circumstan­ce the previous year, it feels great to get back to some sort of normalcy.

V.V.S. the previous year was virtually unconquera­ble. With their incredible run game and strong defensive presence, the Red Devils were the team to beat. And heading into this year, they looked to keep the train going.

And despite a few losses, the Red Devils have still looked impressive up to this point, securing a 4-2 record on the year. But it was going to be an arduous task going up against New Hartford, who was undefeated. Neverthele­ss, the Red Devils were ready for the challenge. But the Spartan offense was too potent. With an elusive ground presence, New Hartford handed V.V.S. its 3rd loss of the year to remain undefeated.

The Spartans got off to a great start after a rushing TD early. The Red Devils were ready to play and responded with a touchdown off the kickoff but, unfortunat­ely, was called back. Then, after
