Oneida High School announces Class of '22 top 10 academically performing students
Oneida, N.Y. — Oneida High School has announced its top ten performing students for the class of 2022.
Officials say that 64 seniors (46% of the class) have earned 85 or better for consecutive marking periods; 16 students earned the honor roll for 85-89 grade average, and 48 students earned a 90 average or higher. Additionally, over half of the seniors have reportedly been in the following programs: Advanced placement classes, RIT Project Lead the Way, BOCES New Ventures, BOCES New Visions, MVCC classes, BOCES National Technical Honors Society, and the Oneida National Honor Society.
The top ten students, according to school officials, are separated by 3.55 percentage points, and the Valedictorian and the Salutatorian are separated by .63 of a percent. The top ten students and their future plans are listed as follows:
Valedictorian — Madeline Harris, undecided on college choice, will study Biomedical Engineering
Salutatorian — Rose Barris, attending Cornell for Engineering Physics
Hannah Myatt — attending D’youville College for Physician Assistant
Seth O’connell — undecided on college choice, will study Secondary Math Education
Corinne Becker — attending Lemoyne College for Marketing and Creative Writing
C. Webster Potter — undecided on college choice, will study Electrical Engineering
Anna Zamperetti — undecided on college choice, will study Environmental Studies and pre-law
Jillian Honness — undecided on college choice, will study Statistics/mathematics
