Chittenango student’s design picked as new Madison County DMV logo
Wampsville, N.Y. — The Madison County DMV in Wampsville now has a new logo designed by a local student.
Madison County middle/high school students were invited to submit original artwork to create a new logo for the Wampsville DMV. Over 100 pieces of artwork from 5 different school districts (Canastota, Oneida, Brookfield, Chittenango, and Hamilton) were submitted.
DMV employees selected
five runners up along with the grand prize winner whose design will now be used for all Wampsville DMV promotional and informational materials. All winners received a cash prize sponsored by the Madison County auto dealerships.
“Choosing one winner out of
all of the entries was very difficult,” said Madison County Clerk Michael Keville. “We have so many talented artists here in Madison County. I want to thank all of the students for their hard work and the staff at DMV for selecting the winner; I don’t think I could have selected one if it was only up to me. I would also like to thank all of the dealerships who sponsored this event and the art teachers from the participating schools.”
The designer of the chosen logo is Camren Wilson, of Chittenango High School.
Runner-ups include Thatcher Bugbee (Brookfield Middle School), Henley Linstruth (Canastota High School), Madison Deangelis (Hamilton High School), AJ Magnino (Hamilton High School), and Townes Murr (Oneida High School).
