COLLEEN M. ROSSI
Colleen M. Rossi, 67, of Latham, formerly of Oneida, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. She was born on January 3, 1955, in Oneida, the daughter of Joseph James and Christine D. (Moran) Cox. She was a 1973 graduate of Oneida High School and went on to receive her Associates degree from SUNY Morrisville in Agriculture and Technology, majoring in Communications. On December 7, 1990, Colleen was united in marriage to Louis A. Rossi in St. Patrick’s Church in Oneida. Colleen was employed as an administrative specialist at Ayco Company in Saratoga Springs, subsequently Goldman Sachs in Latham. Her coworkers cherished the pleasure, laughter and an outstanding drive for her job and her relationships. A resident of the Albany area since 1988, first in Troy, then moving to Latham. She was of the Catholic Faith attending St. Ambrose Church in Latham. Colleen enjoyed golfing, walking with friends, baking, and home making. Her cats held a special place in her heart. Surviving beside her loving husband, Lou, of Latham are her son Matthew J. Rossi, of White Plains, her sister, Margaret, and brother-in-law, Andrew Arden, of Oneida; sister-in-law, Maureen Cox, and nephew Paul Cox, of Brunswick; Frank and Josephine Calandra of Rome; and many dear and loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Colleen was predeceased by her parents and 2 brothers, Thomas J. Cox on April 8, 2009, and Kevin Cox on May 6, 2021. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 1:30 PM at St. Patrick’s Church, 347 Main St., Oneida. Interment will take place at the Rome Cemetery on a later date. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Colleen’s memory to Bought Veterinary Clinic at 1165 Loudon Rd., Cohoes, NY, 12047, or St. Jude’s Children Hospital 2 Pine West Plaza 202, Albany, NY 12205.
