Volvo S60 keeps getting better and better

As our favorite manufacturer enters the fleet today looking for another fantastic review, they have an uphill battle on their hands as getting better than what they already created is going to be tough, but for Volvo, they are up for the challenge.

This week in Grasso’s Garage, it’s the Volvo S60; their entry level sedan. Although rightly priced and on the smaller side, the market for S60’s are actually very high. As manufacturing delays still plague the inventory market, the demand is ultra high and for good reason. Our tester, the Volvo S60 EAWD T8 Recharge Black Edition, is one for the sights.

Packed with a big punch, the S60 T8 Recharge comes standard with a 2.0 liter turbocharged gasoline engine providing 312 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, and an additional 143 horsepower and 228 lb ft of torque from the allelectric motor. Combined, this is a bullet at 455 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of torque. Our S60 Recharge showed 41 miles of pure electric range when fully charged making the grocery-getting commuter a real winner on local turf.

An array of new upgrades come standard with the S60.

Such as Google Interaction, Sirius XM, One Pedal Drive (allowing you to shift to hybrid mode allowing the S60 to charge itself on deceleration.) 5 drive modes and that ever-popular Bowers and Wilkins sound resembling a Jazz Club vide.

My passion for Volvo is no secret, I have been an owner for years and loved my most recent XC60. For me, the vehicle is ultra comfortable, has plenty of power, a great warranty and maintenance included options that are fit for every consumer. In most sedans backseat comfort is really non-existent anymore, but in the S60, it is revived. We took a ride through the Catskill Mountains in NY and really enjoyed the legroom, comfort and power the S60 offered. In Grasso’s Garage, when power aligns with comfort, it creates a chart-topper. 2023 Volvo S60 T8 Recharge, welcome to the club.
