Upset condo residents accused of acts of criminal mischief at complex.
Someone smashed a window on an excavator in the 100 block of North F Street. Damage was estimated to be in excess of $300.
Two tires were slashed on a vehicle in the 2400 block of Second Avenue North. The victim told a deputy she thinks her ex-boyfriend was responsible. She said he confronted him, but he denied the allegations. The president of the
board of directors for a condominium association in the 1500 block of South Lakeside Drive reported several acts of vandalism on the property. She said someone wrote “so no to carpet” in red marker on a wall in the lobby of the complex. Someone urinated on the freshly painted wall outside her apartment, and on a separate occasion someone poured cooking oil on the wall. She said she believes the acts of vandalism are being committed by a small group of residents unhappy with the board’s choices of paint colors for the walls, and the decision to replace existing carpet with new carpet rather than tile.
