ATMOSPHERE

Fun and inviting, with a nautical theme and fest ive t i ki - hut patio. You’ll pass by an elegant aquarium and schools of fish figur ines as you enter, and comfy wooden booths are scattered across two large rooms. There are several flatscreen TVs playing sporting events, and a full bar.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

We dined here on St. Patrick’s Day, so in addition to the normal menu offerings, the eatery offered some traditional Irish dishes. To kick things off we ordered an appetizer of loaded nachos ($9.99), a towering platter of tortilla chips, chili, pico di gallo, jalapenos, lettuce, cheese, gua- camole and sour cream. The dish was a little light on toppings halfway down the stack, so the waitress graciously agreed to pile a few more on. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage ($14.99), and found it a superior version of the traditional Irish dish, with tender and nicely seasoned beef and not-too-soggy cabbage. Several steamed carrots and potatoes accompanied the meal, and I savored the once-a-year opportunity to enjoy the Irish favorite.

REASON TO GO

Fun, lively atmosphere and a wide assortment of familyfriendly food in a charming setting. Get a souvenir plastic cup with every soda purchase. This South Florida restaurant chain also has locations in West Palm Beach, Wellington, Lake Worth and Boca Raton.

SERVICE

Good service despite having to wait more than 30 minutes for a table, given the holiday crowd. The waitress was very friendly and checked on us regularly to refill drinks.

NOISE LEVEL

T h e mus i c a n d c rowd were very loud, when most patrons were decked out in green and green beers were the novelty of the day.

KID FRIENDLY

Children have their own fun menu of burgers, mac and cheese, ribs, chicken nuggets shaped like dinosaurs, grilled chicken tenders and mini corn dogs.
