A man left his car unlocked while he went into a store in the 1400 block of Hypoluxo Road. Someone stole his iPhone. Surveillance video captured the incident, showing someone drive up in a vehicle, reach into the car and grab the cellphone.
The owner of a business in the 600 block of North Dixie Highway complained that a former client punched him in the face. He said the ex-client was angry about a brake line hose that was defective. The business owner said he could not give him $20 for the cost of a new hose, but offered to repair it at another time. He said he did not want to pursue charges against his assailant, but wanted the incident documented in case the man returned. Police responded to a
report of a disturbance in the 800 block of North Federal Highway. The found a man bleeding from his head and left arm. The man, who smelled of alcohol, said his friend attacked him with his fist, a cooler and a milk crate. Fire Rescue treated him for his injuries. An officer talked to the friend, who claimed he gave $16 to the man and wanted it back. He said he pushed the man, and the fall caused the injuries. The friend also had boozy breath. The officer returned to the injured man to ask about the $16, and he said they spent it on beer. There was no sign of the cooler or crate used in the alleged attack. The man said he did not want to press charges against his buddy and left the scene.
Someone slashed two tires on a pickup in the 400 block of Waterway Drive. One tire was slashed on a second truck.
