Find heaven in a slice of pizza at Cannoli Kitchen

MENU

This is a pizza lover’s paradise. Out on display at the front counter are numerous pies with a variety of toppings: chicken bacon ranch, artichoke and spinach, fresh arugula, cheesesteak. You’ll be like a kid in a candy shop, trying to decide which ones to choose. There’s a lot more on the menu too: salads, hot and cold subs, pasta, wings. Veal, chicken and shrimp dishes also are served.

ATMOSPHERE

Casual. You place your order at the counter, then grab a drink from the cooler. There are a few tables inside, more outside.

OUR FAVORITE FOOD/PRICE

We decided to try a couple of slices. We loved the barbecue chicken pizza ($4), topped with cheese, onions and peppers along with tender pieces of chicken. The barbecue sauce was sweet and delicious. The slice of eggplant Parmesan pizza ($4) was just as tast y. My son-in-law enjoyed a slice of pepperoni ($3.50). The crust is thick and firm enough to hold the generous portion of toppings. The slices are large, too; two were more than enough for me.

REASON TO GO

Because you can buy pizza by the slice, you can try new and interesting combinations each time, without committing to a whole pi e . There’s no compro - mising with your pepperoni-loving friend if you’re a vegetarian; you can both find a slice of deliciousness to your liking.

SERVICE

The person at the counter taking our order was fairly aloof. The person cooking the pizzas was much more welcoming. Our slices were heated quickly and delivered to our table.

NOISE LEVEL

It’s a neighborhood pizza place, so it’s going to have traffic. When we dined, only two other tables were occupied, so it was fairly quiet.

KID FRIENDLY

Definitely a place to take the kids. My grandchildren loved it.
