Gilbert, who lives in Tennessee, is a single mother who struggles to raise her three children on a nursing assistant’s wages. Real-life best friends Emily Mortimer ( The Newsroom) and Dolly Wells ( Bridget Jones’s Diary) are the stars of this new semi-improvised comedy series from across the pond. Mortimer’s Em is a Hollywood actress, and Wells’ Doll is her childhood best friend, who comes to work for her as her personal assistant after a bad breakup. Jonathan Cake and Aaron Himelstein also star.

As Season 2 of the historical drama series about a young Leonardo Da Vinci opens, the Pazzis are making their move, while Leonardo (Tom Riley) takes a gamble for Florence’s future, and Riario (Blake Ritson) makes some headway in his search for the Book of Leaves.
