- Staffff reports

Even when Toddy Centeio committed to Miami in December, he said “there’s a chance” he would not stick with the Hurricanes.

That should have been a sign that the class of 2017 Dwyer quarterback eventually would reopen his recruiting process. Centeio pulled the trigger Friday, announcing on Twitter that he had renounced his commitment from the Hurricanes.

“I’m still highly considering Miami.”

Centeio notified UM offensive coordinator James Coley of his decision. Aside from Miami, the three-star recruit holds offers from schools such as Nebraska, North Carolina State and Bowling Green. But Centeio wrote in a text message that he doesn’t have any schools at the top of his li st.
