Two accused of serial rape of child

Ordeal lasted 3 years, girl says; all charges cite assault by ‘custodian.’

WEST PALM BEACH — Two brothers stand accused of repeatedly raping a girl living in their West Palm Beach home for at least the last three years. Facing hundreds of charges of sexual assault against the girl who is now 13, the two are being held without bail in the Palm Beach County Jail.

West Palm Beach police say Noe Ramos, 28, and Uriel Ramos, 26, confessed to the crimes, which amounted to each man raping the girl mul- tiple times each week.

The brothers were arrested Thursday and faced Judge Ted Booras on Friday morning.

Noe Ramos faces 156 counts of sexual assault on a minor by a custodian while Uriel Ramos faces 287 counts of the same offense, according to the Palm Beach county clerk. The relationsh­ip between the girl and the men was not re- leased by authoritie­s.

The assaults that happened before she was 12 years old are punishable in Florida by life in prison.

The arrest reports do not say how the girl’s plight came to police attention, but she candidly described the most recent attacks.

She said when she came home from school on Monday, Noe Ramos told her to come to his bedroom.

“No, stop bothering me,” she replied.

Instead, he grabbed her

arm and pulled her into his room and raped her, according to police. The girl told detectives she tried to push him away but he was too strong.

On Thursday morning, the girl was in her bed when Uriel Ramos came in and locked the door behind him, she told police. Next thing she knew, he was on top of her and raped her, according to the report. She told detectives that she didn’t fight back because when she did that in the past he
