DELRAY BEACH — The former Boynton Beach resident and viral teen Internet star Danielle Bregoli was back in Palm Beach County on Wednesday morning for a juvenile court appearance.

Bregoli, 14, who gained notoriety last year during a “Dr. Phil” TV interview in which she taunted audience members with the now famous phrase, “Cash me outside,” was at the South County Courthouse in Delray Beach. She faces several theft charges as well as a charge of filing a false police report. They mostly include acts allegedly com- mitted against her mother, Barbara Ann Bregoli.

The mother also appeared on the television show and complained Danielle was out of control. Danielle challenged audience members to a fight using the catchphrase that almost immediately made her a social media trending topic.

In a hearing Wednesday that lasted less than five minutes, Bregoli’s attorney, Scott Richardson, said she’d plead not guilty to the five charges. Circuit Judge Lou Delgado set a trial date for the afternoon of June 28.

As Bregoli walked down a courthouse hallway, she giggled and mugged for reporters and photographers. Richardson said later that Bregoli is doing “fine” in therapy, adding, “What we’re hoping is that Dani will continue to get as well as she has been doing, and by the time we get back to court, there will be a better picture for her than some have tried to portray.”

The girl’s mother had told The Palm Beach Post this month that Danielle now lives in Los Angeles and works with a Hollywood management team as she attends school and therapy sessions.

Danielle’s father, Ira Peskowitz, has told the Post that Barbara Bregoli and the management team are exploiting the girl for their own financial gain.

Peskowitz — who was in court Wednesday — “wants to get her out of what he b e l i e v e s i s a d a n g e r o u s environment,” said family spokesman Elliot Cohen.

Cohen said Peskowitz, a Palm Beach County sheriff ’s deputy who is in a yearslong custody battle, “has been trying to get into his daughter ’s life for 14 years and the mother has essentially blocked every attempt he’s had to have a positive influence in her life.”

As the teen made her way back to Florida late Tuesday, a video of a red-headed girl who looks similar to Bregoli being beaten by another girl was making its way around the internet . TMZ spoke with Bregoli at Los Angeles International Airport and she denied it was her in the video. Bregoli told the celebrity news website that she doesn’t go anywhere without her bodyguard and the girl in the video seemed older.
