PALM BEACH POST PREDICTIONS
OK, so I was wrong last
time. The Jets don’t stink. They’re better than advertised. They try really hard. They have some excellent young players, particularly on defense. But this is a revenge game.
The Dolphins were humiliated in New York. They were embarrassed. And as much as we would like to think that’s not a critical
factor, these are human beings, after all. Miami can’t afford to lose this game. They won’t.

Neither of these teams is particularly easy to figure out. The Jets have been all over the place,
most recently pushing New England to the brink, and the Dolphins went from inept two weeks ago to steamrolling the Falcons in the second half last week
end. Miami’s offense feels like it’s at the start of something big, and the Jets aren’t good enough to stop it.

The Jets already have won more games (three) than some predicted they’d win all year. And they were robbed of a crucial TD last week against the Patriots. But Miami’s second half against the Falcons showed me some
thing. For the first time in ages, I’m oozing confidence with my pick.

I’ve been zigging when the
Dolphins zag all season. No clue when they’re about to lay an egg or catch fire. The one constant has been Jupiter’s Cody Parkey, 7 of 7 on field goals, so let’s say he beats the Jets at the buzzer.
