Purdue tops Rutgers with 3-point shots

Isaac Haas scored 14 points and Dakota Mathias finished with 13 as No. 13 Purdue (142) beat Rutgers 82-51 for its 10th consecutiv­e victory.

The Boilermake­rs made 10 of their 23 3-point shots in beating Rutgers (10-6).

■ No. 24 Florida State 81, No. 12 North Carolina 80: Braian Angola scored 20 points and C.J. Walker added 18 in Tallahasse­e for the Seminoles (12-2). FSU led most of the game but almost squandered it, going without a field goal last 2:57 and missing its last four free throws. Joel Berry II led the Tar Heels (12-3) with 28 points.

■ No. 8 Virginia 78, Virginia Tech 52: The Cavaliers (13-1) had four players score in double figures in a road blowout of the Hokies (11-4).

■ Georgia Tech 64, No. 15 Miami 54: Josh Okogie scored 30 points and the Yellow Jackets (7-7) held the Hurricanes (12-2) to 37 percent shooting while pulling off the upset in Atlanta.
