PORT ST. LUCIE — A Greenacres woman found with two children, a pound of cocaine, 11 pounds of marijuana and other drugs in her car is facing charges after she was arrested Monday evening in Port St. Lucie, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Sharymar Santana faces several drug-related charges, among them possession of cocaine, possession of hash oil and distribution of cocaine.

About 5:30 p.m. Monday, an FHP trooper pulled over the 31-year-old on Florida’s Turnpike near the Port St. Lucie rest area after noticing a dark tint on her vehicle’s windows, an arrest report said. As the trooper spoke with her, he noticed a smell of marijuana and two chil- dren — one age 4, the other 11 months — inside the vehicle.

When asked about the smell, Santana said her husband drives the car as well and she wasn’t sure whether there was anything in the vehicle.

The trooper asked Santana to pop her trunk, where there was a stronger smell of marijuana, according to the report. Once the children were removed from the car and more troopers arrived at the scene, they searched the vehicle and reported finding 11 pounds of marijuana, 4.5 pounds of hash powder and more than a pound of cocaine, as well as hash oil, mushrooms and an electric cigarette with hash oil in it stored inside a diaper bag.

Santana said she helped pack the car with a friend, the arrest report said.

Santana does not appear to have any previous arrests in Palm Beach, Martin or St. Lucie counties, according to court records.

Troopers reported finding 11 pounds of pot and more than a pound of cocaine.
