Brittany Force hurt in NHRA wreck
Defending season champion Brittany Force escaped serious injury in a wall-banging crash in the season-opening Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals at Pomona, Calif.
John Force Racing said the 31-year-old Top Fuel driver, the daughter of Funny Car great John Force, sustained no major internal injuries, but did have some bruising of the lungs and will remain hospitalized overnight as a precaution. The team said a CT scan was negative and an MRI showed subtle findings likely from previous injuries.

No. 20 Michigan 83, (at) Wisconsin 72: Moe Wagner had 20 points and 11 rebounds, Duncan Robinson added 16 points, and the Wolverines (20-7, 9-5 Big Ten) topped the Badgers (11-16, (11-16, 4-10). Ethan Happ led Wisconsin with a season-high 29 points to go with seven rebounds.
Texas A&M players arrested: J.J. Caldwell was been dismissed from the team and Jay Jay Chandler was suspended indefinitely after the two were arrested Sunday for possession of marijuana.
