ALEX NOREN, 65-206

One day after slipping to a 5-over 75 following his 4-under 66 on Thursday that shared the first-round lead, Noren climbed right back up the leaderboard Saturday, crafting nines of 32 and 33 to move back within two shots of the lead. Noren had five birdies and two bogeys, but his shot of the day was a 270-yard second at No. 18 that settled 4 feet from the hole. He made the putt for eagle to move into position to contend for his first PGA Tour victory.

TOMMY FLEETWOOD, 67-205

If one eagle in a round is considered special, what are we to make of two? Fleetwood accomplished that rare feat Saturday when first his 140-yard wedge from the fairway at No. 4 rolled into the cup, and again when he canned an 8-foot putt at No. 18 after his 283-yard approach. Fleetwood also had two birdies, one bogey and a double bogey as the Englishman pursues his first PGA Tour victory. He had two top-five finishes last year.

ADAM SCOTT, 67-212

After making the cut on the number Friday, the 2016 Honda champion made up some ground on the back nine with a 3-under 32 after going out in even-par 35. Scott birdied Nos. 3 and 5, but gave those two shots back with a double-bogey 6 at No. 8, where he found the water on his approach. Birdies on Nos. 11, 13, 17 and 18 were offset only by a bogey at No. 16. His approach on No. 18 stopped 5 inches from the hole for a tap-in birdie.
