Poland set a world indoor record in the 4x400-meter relay Sunday at the world indoor athletics championsh­ips in Birmingham, England, with the U.S. also inside the old mark. Karol Zalewski, Rafal Omelko, Lukasz Krawczuk and Jakub Krzewina won in 3:01.77. That shaved 0.36 seconds off the previous record of 3:02.13, set by the U.S. in 2014. ■ No. 10 Cincinnati 62, (at) No. 11 Wichita State 61: Jacob Evans had 19 points and seven rebounds as the Bearcats (27-4, 16-2) edged the Shockers (24-6, 14-4) for the American Athletic Conference regular-season title. Landry Shamet and Shaquille Morris (eight rebounds) each scored 16 points for Wichita State.

■ (At) No. 25 Houston 81, Connecticu­t 71: Rob Gray scored 30 points, Corey Davis Jr. had 17 and the Cougars (24-6, 14-4 American) held off the Huskies (14-17, 7-11) to finish 15-0 at home, the first time they’ve done that since the 1983-84 season. Jalen Adams had 22 points and six assists for UConn, which has lost three of its last four.

■ No. 15 Michigan 75, No. 8 Purdue 66: Zavier Simpson finished with 10 points, five assists and five rebounds, Mo Wagner had 17 points and the Wolverines (28-7) beat the Boilermake­rs (28-6) to repeat as conference tournament champs. Wagner played just 17 minutes because of foul trouble, and back-up big man Jon Teske scored 14 points to help Michigan become the first team to repeat since Ohio State in 2010 and ’11. Purdue’s Isaac Haas had 23 points and eight rebounds.

WOMEN’S ACC CHAMPIONSH­IP

(At Greensboro, N.C., Coliseum)

■ No. 4 Louisville 74, No. 5 Notre Dame 72: Asia Durr scored 17 points and hit four free throws in the final seconds, and Sam Fuehring converted a key threepoint play in the final minute, helping the Cardinals (32-2) top the Fighting Irish (29-3) for their first ACC Tournament title. It was Louisville’s first conference tournament title since 1993 when it won the Metro Tournament. Jessica Shepard had 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Arike Ogunbowale added 20 points for Notre Dame, which had won the previous four ACC titles.

WOMEN’S BIG TEN CHAMPIONSH­IP (At Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapol­is) ■ No. 13 Ohio State 79, No. 17 Maryland 69: Kelsey Mitchell scored 25 points, Stephanie Mavunga finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds, and the Buckeyes (26-6) rallied from a first-quarter deficit to defeat the Terrapins (25-6) for the conference championsh­ip.

■ No. 3 Baylor 94, TCU 48: Kalani Brown scored 28 points, Lauren Cox had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and the Bears (30-1) rolled past the Horned Frogs (19-12) in a record-setting Big 12 semifinal for their 27th straight victory and a game against rival Texas in tonight’s championsh­ip. Baylor’s 46-point win was the mostlopsid­ed Big 12 Tournament game ever, topping Iowa State’s 37-point victory over Nebraska in 2000. Jordan Moore and Amy Okonkwo each scored 12 points for TCU.

■ No. 7 Texas 68, West Virginia 55: Jatarie White had 11 points and 12 rebounds as the Longhorns (26-5) defeated the Mountainee­rs (21-11). Ariel Atkins, Joyner Holmes and Alecia Sutton each scored 10 points for Texas, which has won 12 of 13. Naomi Davenport scored 17 points for West Virginia, the defending champion.

WOMEN’S SEC CHAMPIONSH­IP

(At Bridgeston­e Arena, Nashville, Tenn.) ■ No. 8 South Carolina 62, No. 2 Mississipp­i State 51: A’ja Wilson scored 16 points to help the Gamecocks (26-6) become the first SEC women’s program to win four consecutiv­e tournament titles, snapping the nation’s longest winning streak at 32 with an upset of the Bulldogs (32-1). Mississipp­i State’s last loss was to South Carolina in last season’s national championsh­ip game. Victoria Vivians led the Bulldogs on Sunday with 17 points.

■ Western Carolina men: Coach Larry Hunter announced his decision to step down Sunday. The 68-year-old Hunter’s 702 career victories include 397 at the Division I level with 12 seasons at Ohio and 13 at Western Carolina.

Predators 4, (at) Avalanche 3 (OT): Filip Forsberg scored at 1:07 of overtime, and Nashville matched the franchise record with its eighth straight victory. Nashville has won nine in a row against Colorado, including three this season.

(At) Panthers 4, Flyers 1: Evgenii Dadonov scored twice, Roberto Luongo made 39 saves and Florida rolled to its season-best sixth straight victory — all at home. Philadelph­ia has lost three straight after winning six in a row.

(At) Ducks 6, Blackhawks 3: Jakob Silfverber­g and Corey Perry each scored twice and Anaheim earned points at home for the eighth game in a row. Rickard Rakell scored for the third straight game and John Gibson made 37 saves. The Ducks moved into third place in the Pacific Division, a point ahead of Los Angeles.

Golden Knights 3, (at) Devils 2: Three games into his tenure, Tomas Tatar got a winner with his first goal and Vegas avoided its first four-game losing streak by handing New Jersey its third straight loss. Marc-Andre Fleury made 33 saves for the Golden Knights..

(At) Wild 4, Red Wings 1: Eric Staal and Zach Parise scored in the second period, Jason Zucker added two late goals and Minnesota ended at two-game skid. Devan Dubnyk made 28 saves for the Wild.

Jets 3, (at) Hurricanes 2: Winnipeg’s Patrik Laine scored twice for the second straight game and extended his points streak to eight. Paul Stastny added a goal and an assist, and Connor Hellebuyck stopped 33 shots for the Jets.
