Boat Show takes over waterfront for weekend
It’s about to go down!
The Palm Beach International Boat Show, which opens today, is one of the top five boat shows in the country and will feature over $1.2 billion worth of boats, yachts and accessories from the world’s leading manufacturers.
A diverse selection of watercraft — from 8-foot inflatables, power boats, fishing boats, center consoles, bow riders and personal watercraft on up to superyachts stretching over 150 feet — will be featured.
The event also will showcase the latest boat electronics and accessories and offer seminars and fishing clinics.
Kids’ fishing clinics will be hosted by Hook the Future on Saturday and Sunday and there will be 14 seminars by The International Game Fish Association.
The Hook the Future events are open to children ages 4 to 16 and will offer instruction on casting a rod and reel, how to fight a fish, selecting proper tackle and lures and fishing ethics.
The IGFA seminars will be hosted by some of South Florida’s most accomplished captains who will share the tips and techniques that took them decades to learn.
Both will be held at the Meyer Amphitheatre.
There will also be live music.
