RIVIERA BEACH — A 55-yearold woman was behind bars Wednesday for allegedly setting fire to her ex-boyfriend’s car early Tuesday and breaking a window in his Riviera Beach apartment, records state.

Holly Prichard Hampshire faces multiple arson, criminal mischief and intimidation charges. Judge Ted Booras set her bond at a total of $213,000 on all charges at a hearing Wednesday morning at the Palm Beach County Jail.

Prichard Hampshire and the man hadn’t dated in more than a month, the man told authorities Tuesday, but she had pestered him with text messages and even threatened to kill him.

Last week Prichard Hampshire, who also lives in Riviera Beach, bashed in the windshield of the man’s car, he said.

Then, just before 6 Tuesday morning, she reportedly set fire to that car, which was parked outside his home on West 37th Street, and broke one of his bedroom windows.

The fire spread from the car to the home. The man put out the flames inside the apartment and ran outside with the woman with whom he lives. They saw Prichard Hampshire leave in a blue Volkswagen Jetta and noticed the fire damage to the man’s car, according to State Fire Marshal records.

Authorities spoke with Prichard Hampshire later that morning. She said she’d been texting with the man and admitted to being at the complex when the fire was set but denied either starting it or causing any of the damage.

She said a man she met at a West Palm Beach bar broke her ex-boyfriend’s window with a golf club. She did admit to swinging that club at her former boyfriend.
