The book by Patricia Bernstein is the history of 1920s Klux Klan in Texas, and much of the focus is on their animus toward Jews, Catholics and immigrants, as well as blacks. It also celebrates Texas lawyer Dan Moody who was instrument­al in getting members of the Klan convicted of murder.
