St. Lucie County earns communications awards

St. Lucie County’s Communications Division has been selected to receive multiple awards from the National Association of County Information Officers’ annual Awards of Excellence program for its communications efforts.

The division is receiving awards in four categories of the 2018 Awards of Excellence competition, which is sched

uled for July 15:

■ Superior Award in the Ceremonies/Community Events Category for the promotion of the inaugural Procession of the Species event.

■ Superior Award in the Logo, Themes and Letterhead Category for the Procession of the Species artwork.

■ Superior Award in the One

Page Brochure Category for the Treasure Coast Wine & Ale Trail map/brochure.

■ Meritorious Award in the Video Series Category for pub

lic service announcements promoting the county’s free tran

sit pilot program.

The NACIO Awards of Excellence are given in various categories with rankings of “Superior,” “Excellent” or “Meritorious,” with a “Best in Show” for each category.

This year’s awards will be presented during the National Association of Counties annual conference in Nashville, Tenn.
