Fourth of July events: Wellington and Royal Palm Beach have several events lined up for the Fourth of July.
■ Wellington: The day begins with a Patriotic Pool Party from noon to 5 p.m. at the Wellington Aquatics Complex, 12072 Forest Hill Blvd. Regular admission applies. For more information, call 561-791-4770. The 4th of July Celebration is from 6 to 9 p.m. with the Zambelli Fireworks Show at 9:15 p.m. at Village Park, 11700 Pierson Road. There will be food trucks, games, face painting, bounce houses, a petting zoo and more. A free shuttle will run between the Mall at Wellington Green and Village Park from 5:30 to 10 p.m. with no shuttles during the fireworks show. For more information, go to www.wellingtonfl.gov/events.
■ Royal Palm Beach: The Mayor’s Firecracker Golf Tournament begins at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at Madison Green Golf & Country Club, 2001 Crestwood Blvd. Cost is $75 per player or $300 for a foursome. The 28th annual Ed Singlton Memorial Fourth of July Family Fishing Tournament will begin Wednesday morning with registration from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the main pavilion of Commons Park, 11600 Poinciana Blvd. Fishing will be done in the Commons Park lake. Bass weigh-in is at 11 a.m. and weigh-in for other fish is 11:15 a.m.
Royal Palm’s Star Spangled Spectacular begins at 4 p.m. with the Zambelli Fireworks Show at 9 p.m. at Commons Park. There will be a Kids Fun Zone, food trucks, games and local music. For more information on all three Royal Palm events, call 561-790-5149 or go to www.royalpalmbeach.com.
Amphitheater entertainment: Wellington’s weekend lineup for its amphitheater, 12100 Forest Hill Blvd., includes two free concerts, food trucks and a free movie. Bring your own seating for each event. For more information, go to www.wellingtonfl.gov/events.
■ Food trucks and free concert from the Mason Pace Band on Thursday, with food trucks from 5 to 9:30 p.m. and concert beginning at 6:30 p.m.
■ Free movie: “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” (PG-13) begins at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
■ Free concert: Performance from Jimmy Buffett tribute the Caribbean Chillers begins at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Register for baseball bus trip: Registration continues through Aug. 17 or until filled for Royal Palm Beach’s baseball bus trip to see the New York Yankees play the Miami Marlins at Marlins Stadium in Miami. The game begins at 7:10 p.m. Aug. 21 and the bus will leave the Royal Palm Beach Recreation Center on Sweet Bay Lane at 4 p.m. Tickets are $100 each and include a ticket in Section 25 of the stadium, a sandwich, the bus ride and four bottles of water.
