RYAN, Virginia L.

-

Virginia “Ginny” L. (Weidt) Ryan said Auf Wiedersehen July 18, 2018 just shy of 97. She survived Frank Ryan by almost 20 years and leaves 10 children, mikepatmaryanntomlarryconnietheresastevenandjim (to be said very fast); 16 grandchildren plus two (Colleen Ryan and Kevin Dimeo preceded her); 18½ great-grandchildren; and, numerous nieces, nephew and cousins of varying degrees. In her early years, Ginny loved Bridge with the ladies. Later, she particularly enjoyed cruising and Florida. In her later years, she enjoyed a cocktail when the sun was setting over the yardarm as did her mother, Gladys. All the while, she was driven to be in the know. Not only was she a loving mother, she extended her kindness to all friends and relatives of the clan. She was a giver who put everyone else first. GINNY Always a lady; but, never a prude. She kept up with the times; but, never was crude. How she raised 10 wild micks and stayed so calm Was a mystery to all, like the lines in a palm. So, how did she do it? We’ll never know. She made it look easy. She went with the flow. Human as clay, a spirit so grand. Truly the fairest in all of the land. Ginny’s favorite U.S. monuments were the Grand Canyon, Mount Rushmore and Ruby Falls. But she was most impressed on her 6th birthday when her dad Al Weidt took her and her friends to the airport in Akron to see the HUGE doors open at the hanger for the airship. If you haven’t seen those doors, they are as awesome as the St. Louis Arch. The blimp tour was special too. Friends and family will miss one very special lady. We love you Ginny. Give everyone our regards.
