BOYNTON BEACH — A 19-yearold Boynton Beach man has been sentenced to five years of probation after pleading guilty to a charge stemming from a May drive-by shooting.

Cleevens Altiner pleaded guilty Aug. 24 to a count of aggravated assault with a fire- arm. The shooting took place outside a residence on the 400 block of Northeast Second Street, north of Boynton Beach Boulevard and west of Federal Highway. A boy, then 16, was shot in the foot after a person in a passing Ford Escape fired two or three rounds in his direction, Boynton Beach police said.

Authorities took Altiner, then 18, into custody two days later. Police did not indi- cate in their report how the 16-year-old and Altiner may have known each other.
